Labor Day and More

I’m sorry it’s been a long quiet Summer. After my trip I’ve been dealing with family issues and work. That and the temps have kept me from planning anything, but it’s time to get things going again.

Let’s start wit ha ride on Labor Day. Monday we’ll meet at the Terrible’s at Rainbow and Craig to run up to Indian Springs for breakfast, then come back over the mountain. Kickstands Up at 8:00.
Next Saturday we’ll ride up to Overton. Same KSU meeting at the Iron Skillet at the Speedway.
Don’t forget the Ride to Peggy Sue’s on Sunday the 16th of October. More info will follow.
Once again, I’m sorry we didn’t do anything over the Summer, but I’m open to suggestions for the future.

Register Soon!

Register soon for The California State Rally from June 2 through the 5th. Check out the Rally Website for more forms and info. Early registration is due by May 6th.

I’ve registered and reserved a campsite for myself. I will be going on Thursday the 2nd and returning on Sunday.

Cal State Rally Update

To guarantee the registration pricing of $35 per person and to guarantee you receive a 2011 State Rally T-Shirt or Patch we need to have your paperwork and check postmarked no later than May 7, 2011.  Late registration will be available in person up in Oakhurst, but the price is $45 per person.

A few “extra” T-shirts will be available up in Oakhurst, but we won’t know how many, or what sizes of T-shirts will be available.

If you’re thinking…..”we went to Oakhurst last year, why bother again this year?”
HA your wrong!

There is no way to enjoy everything this area has to offer in three days!  Go to our Rally Site: http://rally.scrclv.org/ and check the photos from last year.

If that’s not convincing enough try www.oakhurstchamber.com or http://yosemitepark.com/

This is the short list of what our members did last year:
Obvious tours of Yosemite National Park
Boating, Jet Skiing
Gambling at nearby Casinos
Fishing
Hiking
White Water Rafting
Riding on a Steam Powered Train.
Shopping
Visiting Museums
Lot’s of eating, and yes, we rode our bikes too!

The rally committee has compiled all the positive and negative comments from last year’s experience, made some adjustments, and put together what will prove to be an incredible weekend.  We’ve replaced karaoke with a live band, and scheduled practically nothing for the entire day Saturday to allow our members to do whatever they would like to do, on their own, or with others.
